Do you ever wonder why some people are out there achieving their biggest goals while others get stuck in the same old rut?
Shortly after my 24th birthday, I got hired at a "respectable grown up job"... and shortly after that, I realized that I'm allergic to 9-5 desk jobs. So I started a blog that I vaguely thought might make me rich somehow. (Spoiler alert: it did not.) Then, I got pregnant and quit my 9-5 for awhile, started another blog and a bakery "business" that never made it past a few farmers markets. Plot twist: I had to get another 9-5 desk job... which made me feel like an epic failure, so I channeled my energy into yet another creative side project. Bow and Arrow Art was my hand-lettered card company that realllly wanted to take off, but never quite did... which led to a pitstop in the world of multi-level marketing and yep, you guessed it, another 9-5.
Know what I was lacking? CLARITY.
I'm convinced this is the first (and most important) step in achieving your wildest dreams and having everything you want.
See, once I quit wasting time debating if I should follow my heart or stick with the "practical job" I freed up a ton of energy to just do the dang thing. I stopped wasting hours scanning the craigslist "help wanted" section or trying to copy other people's success and found my FOCUS. I discovered that I really wanted my family to grow through adoption and that I would have to find a way to come up with $30,000+ to make that a reality. Once I KNEW what I wanted to do, I focused on doing that thing... and then I did it.
Turns out it's kind of that simple.
Do you have a tendency to play is safe and set goals like "I'd really like to have a side business..." or "I'm going to save some extra money this year"? It's OK if you do, you're not alone! But I can tell you, that the past two years have been eye-opening. It's been completely different for me since I started Ten Thousand Cookies. I was able to set a crystal clear (and somewhat outrageous) goal, and to reach it much faster than I ever imagined.
The one reason I credit for this success? I was laser focused on one thing: growing our family. I knew I need to go big to make it happen, and I knew it was worth some discomfort along the way. So I set my sights for BIG and I didn't waste too much time worrying about what would happen if I failed. I just found a way.
Lately I've been connecting with more and more people who are asking questions about HOW exactly I started a fundraiser/ side hustle from scratch and made $30,000 in 18 months. I've spent a lot of time thinking about the best way to share this with more of you! It may have took me a decade of trial and error to nail it down, but that doesn't mean it has to for you.
I created a workbook to help you find clarity using the system I created for myself. The workbook walks you through the 5 steps to setting CLEAR goals that will help you get super motivated and excited to dive in and finally make your dreams come true!
Let me know if you revamp your goals to add clarity. :) I you absolutely love to cheer you on!
